Max Davis is the senior member of Davis, Hatley, Haffeman & Tighe, P.C. The firm, which has been in continuous existence since 1912, carries on a statewide litigation practice in Montana, emphasizing the representation of local and out-of-state businesses, individuals, insureds, insurers and self-insureds, including governmental entities. Mr. Davis has tried over 85 cases to verdict in federal, state and tribal courts throughout Montana. He has argued appeals before the Montana Supreme Court, the Blackfeet Court of Appeals, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. He also serves as legal counsel to a number of privately owned businesses, to the Montana Electric Cooperatives Association, and a number of that association's member cooperatives, as well as to the Diocese of Great Falls-Billings. Mr. Davis is a member of the invitation-only International Society of Barristers (on whose Board of Governors he served 6 years) and the International Association of Defense Counsel. He is an Advocate-level member of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
