Bio

Ms. Fogel is the Chair of the firm’s medical malpractice department and is a member of its management
committee. Her practice focuses on representing physicians, health care providers and hospitals in the
defense of malpractice actions. She also represents providers and physicians in state disciplinary proceedings.
She has extensive experience in handling medical malpractice claims from pre-claim status through trial as
well as post-trial and appeal. Ms. Fogel works closely with physicians and experts to effectively prepare cases
for litigation. Ms. Fogel has extensive experience resolving cases favorably through jury trials and
alternative dispute resolution.

Danielle is currently a member of the McMahon-Ryan Child Advocacy Board of Directors and Secretary of the Onondaga County Bar Association. She is also the advisor for the Fayetteville-Manlius Mock Trial team.

In addition to lecturing at several continuing legal education programs, Ms. Fogel has also lectured to the
Upstate Medical University and St. Joseph’s nursing students on topics of medical malpractice, liability and disciplinary proceedings. She also formerly taught Constitutional Law as an adjunct Professor at
Cayuga Community College. Ms. Fogel also donates a significant amount of time to mentoring current students at Syracuse University College of Law. Previously, Ms. Fogel was a forensic scientist with the New York State Police.
