Biography

Fred leads the firm’s personal injury defense trial group. Since joining Mills Shirley in 1980, he has gained extensive trial experience in personal injury litigation, worker’s compensation, products liability, insurance, utilities, premises and toxic tort litigation.

Very active in the community and the counties in which he practices, Fred serves in various leadership positions for the Boy Scouts of America, Moody Memorial First United Methodist Church, Galveston Historical Foundation, Galveston College Foundation, Galveston Chamber of Commerce, United Way, Rotary, Salvation Army, and others.  Fred has also been named a Super Lawyer for Civil Litigation from 2009-present by Thomson Reuters.
