Paula J. Lozano is a Shareholder and trial attorney in the law firm of Walters Levine Lozano and DeGrave where she practices in the areas of medical malpractice defense, representing numerous Florida hospitals, physicians of all specialties, nurses, advanced nurse practitioners, and physician assistants, long term care defense, and general civil litigation.

PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS

Ms. Lozano leads the firm’s Medical Malpractice Defense Department having focused her last 15 years of professional practice in Texas and Florida as a medical malpractice litigation and trial attorney. She has taken various cases to trial, including wrong level surgeries, nerve damage resulting from blood donation, failure to diagnose stroke, birth related injuries, and catastrophic brain injuries, to name a few. She regularly participates in speaking engagements relative to medical malpractice and nursing home care “hot topics” and developing or new legal challenges in her respective specialized areas of practice.

Ms. Lozano has been honored by Super Lawyers Magazine as a Rising Star between 2012-2016 and recognized by the Attorney At Law Magazine greater Tampa Bay division as an “Attorney to Watch in 2012”.
