Bio

Mike is a Member of Griffith, Freeman & Liipfert, LLC a defense firm located in the coastal town of Beaufort and practicing across the state of South Carolina. Mindful of their roots as trial lawyers first, Griffith Freeman & Liipfert attorneys combine 21st century litigation skills with small town service.

Mike has been representing contractors, subcontractors, design professionals and product manufacturers in complex construction litigation for over a decade on the South Carolina coast. These cases, ranging from single family houses, to multi-family construction developments, to large scale commercial and institutional projects, have formed the backbone of his practice. In addition his practice also includes general civil litigation, products liability, auto related claims and the defense of governmental agencies in tort liability actions. In 2012, Mike became a certified civil court mediator and is honored to have been called upon by his colleagues to mediate a range of litigation claims since that time. In addition to being admitted to and actively practicing before all state and federal courts in the State of South Carolina, Mike is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, and the United States Supreme Court.

Mike has been honored with an AV Preeminent peer rating from Martindale-Hubbell. In addition to his local and state bar membership, Mike is also member of Asian Pacific Bar Association, and is a member of the Board of Directors of the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys Association.
