Bio

Stuart Krauskopf focuses on both corporate transactions and general litigation. Stuart serves as outside general counsel to several large corporations. He has tried cases in several areas including, general corporate, insurance coverage, insurance regulation, products liability defense, professional liability, personal injury and general civil cases. Stuart is listed in Martindale Hubbell’s Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers, and has been recognized by Martindale Hubbell as a preeminent attorney for over 15 years. He was honored as an Illinois Super Lawyer and has received other awards as a result of his legal work.

Prior to forming Krauskopf Kauffman, P.C. in 2005, Stuart was an equity partner at mid-sized general practice firm. There, he specialized in all aspects of corporate and litigation related work.

Stuart has also been very active in the area of professional responsibility. For over two years, he served as the conflicts/ethics partner at his former firm, overseeing all aspects of professional responsibility for this 55-attorney law firm. Additionally, he is the founder and former Chair of the Committee on Prevention of Attorney Malpractice and Case Handling, sponsored by the Chicago Bar Association.

Stuart has vast experience in the area of counseling and advising businesses with respect to their daily operations. Over thirty years of experience allows him to understand the complexities of your legal work.

Stuart lives in Glencoe with his wife Laura and two children, Katie and Nick.
